Nigeria to Congo – A Difficult Slog
Date: April 23, 2018
Approximate GPS Location: (4.27°S, 15.29°E)
After Mike and David finally managed to get their Nigerian visas, it was not long after that they were arrested for having a right-side steering wheel! All was forgiven however by the Victoria Island-Lagos smiling police chief. The policemen were mostly psyched to have their pictures taken with them.
They have crossed Cameroon and Gabon, are currently in Congo, and heading into Democratic Republic of Congo. It may be that they are headed to South Africa first, since Mike alluded to that plan. Mike characterizes the trip so far as "hard work, frustrating, annoying, disbelief, ducking machine guns, running from crowds".
