Successful Purchase of Sailboat For Caribbean Leg
Maldague has finally bought a sailing vessel so that he can continue his motorless trip from the Arctic to Ushuaia. The current leg will be to cross the Caribbean Sea to Guyana. Purchased from Kristopher Henriksson who sailed it from Norway, it is called 'Tsamaya'.
It is currently moored in Rio Dulce, Guatemala where Maldague will remain in March to fix it up and change out some parts.
Since our last update, Maldague has been in Belize where he swam with sharks and mantas in the reef which he says is the second longest in the world after the Great Barrier Reef (the 'Belize' reef spans 112 miles in length). He has also spent some time with some of his best friends who came to visit him from Belgium.
