Date: January 21, 2019
Approximate GPS Location: (20.72°N, 98.02°W)
Maldague continues the cycling portion of his journey through Mexico. After spending a few days touring around the historical town of San Luis Potosi, he continued through part of the mountainous mid-section of Mexico, the Sierra Madre Oriental. He determined that in just Mexico he had climbed a total of 32,103 feet on his bike, more than the height of Mt. Everest.
On January 15th, Maldague celebrated one year into his journey since he departed Kugaaruk on the Arctic Sea coast of northern Canada. His current photos show that he is beginning to enter a more tropical climatic zone, a world of difference from where he began his journey.
