Cycling from Louisiana to Belize Begins Today

Approximate GPS Location: (30.01°N, 90.24°W)

Maldague says he will begin the next portion of his trip today. After recently completing the kayaking of the entire Mississippi River from source to sea, he will continue his human-powered southward progression from the Arctic to the southernmost tip of South America. He will hop on a bike and cycle through Louisiana, Texas, Mexico and Belize.

Rather than just following the Gulf Coast, his planned route shows him heading inland in Mexico toward the Sierra Madre Oriental. After reaching Belize, his plan is to sail the Caribbean.
