Boosts and Delays in Rawles’ ‘Race’ to South American Tip

Date: February 15, 2018
Approximate GPS Location: (48.50°S, 72.68°W)

Kate was delayed by an absence of ferries in Villa O'Higgins, Chile but then rocketed by tailwinds in Argentina only to then be blasted by hail and sidewinds! She also met with a revolutionary conservationist who played a key role in the recent signing over of a million acres of protected land in Patagonia. She is rushing to Ushuaia, the southernmost point of South America, to meet another group of trans-continental cyclists.
