Torrential Rain as Solartuk Rolls into Mumbai
Drivers, Talia Rose and Claire Jenkins, have completed the final section of their 900-mile journey across India, from Chennai to Mumbai.
Their journey into Mumbai was complicated by torrential rain, “insane traffic and only 2m visibility.” On top of these trials and tribulations, their GPS couldn't seem to pick out a simple route, as you can see from the screen-shot in the photo gallery.
Once they had made it into Mumbai, they stopped off at the Indian Institute of Technology to chat about the future of solar power and electric vehicles in India. This would mark their final major event before the 2am handover of the Solartuk on September 1.
Solartuk's next drivers will set off across northern India.
