Marching Forward But Detained Several Times By Local Police
Dykes has been out on the high Tibetan Plateau in the Qinghai region following the headwaters of the Yangtze. But he has been frustrated by being arrested and detained by police in at least three separate incidents. Apparently, what would happen is that local Qinghai people would spot Dykes and report him to local police out of concern for his safety. In each incident he was taken away by the police, detained for a short period and then returned to where he was walking. Now, it has been reported that Dyke has "the support of all local authorities in the Qinghai region". Hopefully this will put an end to this frustrating recurrence.
The latest reports are that Dykes and his guides are back out walking along the river and that he has been reunited with his horse, Caster Troy.
