South American Mission Complete
Anderson has made it back to his home in Nebraska but his journey is far from over. The South American chapter, however, has drawn to a close. His summary of it? "The most difficult period of this journey, but it was a smashing success".
For the remainder of his South American trip, he made it from Ecuador to Bogata, Colombia where he had his bike shipped to Miami, Florida. Then, from Miami, he rode a 935-mile dash across the country through St. Louis to Nebraska. He refers to this jaunt as a "mileage record".
He plans to rest at home for at least a few weeks where he will also make repairs to his bike.
Anderson is considering two possible plans to get to the last remaining 'song' locations in the US, 1) a colder, counter-clockwise path that will start as soon as he can be ready, or 2) a more temperate clockwise path that would involve heading south first and not begin for another 2 or 3 months because of cold-weather concerns.
