Anderson's next stop was Dodge City, which he described as “perhaps the Wild West’s wildest town.” The city was packed full of historical sights, allowing Anderson to get his customary photos and then find a spot to camp for the night.

It was back to Oklahoma next. Anderson had already ticked off the state but needed to visit the town of Hennessey for song location 74. Here, he was shown around by Rocky, a local motorcycle rider he had met through an online community. Together with Rocky's son, Ryan, they toured the town. There aren't many major tourist sights in Hennessey but Anderson enjoyed the town and some warm hospitality from the residents. The group took a detour to the town of Enid afterwards, taking in a baseball game and visiting the Enid Brewing Company. While there, Anderson was accosted by a small group eager to hear about his journey. They even insisted he take some cash to keep him going!

Leaving Oklahoma, Anderson drove on to Texarkana, a city evenly divided between Texas and Arkansas. He had two major photo stops in mind, the Scott Joplin mural and the old post office. Scott Joplin, known as the “King of Ragtime,” is a well-known American composer who spent his youth in Texarkana. Once both stops were complete it was time to move on to another state, Louisiana.

Louisiana itself is mentioned in the song, alongside the cities Ferriday and Shreveport. Shreveport would be his first port of call. The town seemed rather run-down but Anderson took photos with an iconic down-town mural, called “Once in a Millennium Moon.”
