Anderson toured four of the five Utah national parks in our last update. Now, it was time to head on to his next song destination, the popular tourist town of Cedar City.

Cedar City sits at around 5,800ft above sea-level and Anderson found the climate to be pleasantly cool compared to most of Utah. Before heading into the city he rode up into the hills above town for some panoramic views and to find a spot to camp for the night.

The next morning he explored the town. His visit coincided with the annual Shakespeare Festival, a celebration dreamed up by Fred Adams, a theater instructor at Southern Utah University who envisioned providing tourists with live performances of Shakespeare's plays. There are even two recreations of London's Globe Theater in Cedar City. Unfortunately, Anderson was unable to get his bike inside either theater but he did manage to get some photos alongside the city's statues of famous Shakespeare characters and attended a production of Twelfth Night.

He thoroughly enjoyed Cedar City, spending five nights in the town before driving out to check out his final Utah national park, Zion. On arrival, he found that motorbikes are not allowed in the canyon at this time of year, so instead, he settled for a drive along the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway.

After the national park, it was time for a complete change of pace. Anderson explained that he was “not sure why I felt like visiting Las Vegas. This might sound ridiculous, but I was just really curious what it smelled like. I suppose that is as good a reason as any for visiting a place.” He stayed in a hotel on the strip and entertained himself by walking around the “bright lights and fake landmarks.” He enjoyed his stay but admitted that he had to ignore some of the seedier sides of the city to do so.
