Anderson Reaches 50,000 Miles In Ecuador

Date: October 18, 2018
Approximate GPS Location: (0.04°N, 78.17°W)

Anderson rolled across the northern coastal region of Peru which was dry and full of desert, but with lots of fog. He then crossed into Ecuador. The coastal region soon turned tropical with banana tree orchards. This was his second pass through the region with Anderson's first, southward pass last April.

Other than meeting a few interesting travelers, this section of his trip was mostly uneventful. The major event was that in Ecuador he passed the 50,000-mile mark for miles driven on the trip. This was a huge milestone and Anderson says he might expect about another 10,000-12,000 more to complete the remaining song destinations which are now all in the US.
