“Vast Sections of Uncharted Rainforest”
Casey has made it to Amatura, the place he considers to have the most stunning view of the Solemoes [Amazon River], after walking through "vast sections of uncharted rainforest which conceivably no other human being has seen".
He says that the people of Amatura seem Peruvian or Ticuna and the look and feel of the place is totally different than the places he has been.
He has posted a new blog with several new photos.
Unfortunately his trusty walking partner, Everaldo, again must split ways with him due to commitments at home.
He explains that the next leg of his expedition will be challenging in that he must seek permission and guides to pass through the Ticuna communities and reservation areas to get to the Tres Fronteras border to enter Peru.
Ever closer to the border, he says "Peru is in my sights".
