Pete Casey

Stung by Bees, Invaded by Mosquitoes

Date: July 26, 2018
Approximate GPS Location: (3.45°S, 68.81°W)

As Casey continues in the Ticuna region of the Amazon, in Brazil but hugging the Peruvian and Colombian borders, he reports that he has suffered an attack by bees. Casey says the stings on his hands caused them to blow up like boxing gloves.

With 'insect' reports always factoring prominently in Casey's Amazon adventures, he has also mentioned he has never seen so many mosquitoes, and that on at least one night they completely invaded their hammocks. He is currently nearing the town of Sao Paulo de Olivenca.
