‘Blazing’ Through North Europe on Bikes; Kayaking Across Baltic
Rob and Poldy are now well into the 'third' phase of their adventurous and strenuous 'ultra-triathalon', the long-distance cycling from Calais, France to Europe's northernmost point in Norway.
They have been cycling long days across Belgium, Holland and Germany in temperatures of approximately 85°F, crossing iconic cities such as Bruge, Antwerp, Eindhoven and Hamburg. For a more direct path, they decided to kayak for 3 1/2 hours across a strait of the Baltic Sea from Puttgarden, Germany to Rodbyhavn, Denmark, and were compelled to swim the last few hundred feet due to harbor restrictions. Last reported, they are in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The first two portions of the duo's 'ultra-triathalon' were the three marathons they ran across England and the reportedly arduous swimming of the English Channel.
