Morrison Completes Her Moroccan Odyssey
Soon after our last update, Alice Morrison announced she had completed the final leg of her Moroccan Odyssey. On October 28, after 69 days and 900 miles walking along the Atlas Mountains, Morrison arrived in the city of Ouarzazate, known as the door of the desert.
The final section of her journey took her down the southern slopes of the Atlas Mountains, where she searched for and eventually found, dinosaur tracks.
In Ouarzazate, she was welcomed by the United Kingdom’s ambassador to Morocco, Simon Martin and his wife Sophie. Former guides Lehô and Brahim were also surprise guests, alongside expedition organiser Jean-Pierre.
Combined with her 745-mile trek along the Draa River and 1,240-mile hike through the Sahara, Morrison has now walked the full length of Morocco and completed her odyssey.
