First Ever Run of Essequibo Completed!

Date: April 22, 2018
Approximate GPS Location: (6.79°N, 58.43°W)

The team paddled out the river and into the Atlantic bringing the journey to an end. After 72 days and over 600 miles, the navigated journey often challenged their patience and resolve as well as jungling skills.

The last section of the river was an eye-opener to environmental exploitation as the team witnessed the effects of mining, dredging and waste such as plastic bottles, old plastic bags and oil slicks. They rode the tide out on their final day battling their strongest headwinds.
